JILL + JOHN // A CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN RESORT WEDDING ON THE FIRST DAY OF FALL
Jill began her day by getting ready at her family’s custom log home near Crystal Mountain, so for the first time in my career I had the opportunity to hang a wedding dress from the beak of a hand carved wooden eagle. The day only got better from there. Having met in Marquette and now living in Colorado, John & Jill were a perfect couple to approach their wedding day with adventure. Despite dodging rain and fitting the ceremony and portraits in between passing storm clouds, I don’t think the smiles left their faces. We laughed as we hiked down the stairs for bridal portraits, we laughed as the unity candle needed serious shielding from the gusting wind, we laughed as we snapped some quick portraits at the top of the lift before the rain drops came down harder, we laughed as we made our way back to the reception - after Jill had kicked off her shoes. It was such a joy-filled day and Michael and I had an absolute blast capturing it. Thanks for trusting us. P.S. If anyone has a better cake-topper this year I can’t wait to see it ;)
