I photographed Sharon & Nick’s wedding seven (!!!!!) years ago. Their family looks a little different these days with their three kiddos in tow! It was so great to see them and catch up. The beach was just a tad windy - Michigan in October is always hard to predict - but the location was sentimental given we headed to Point Betsie for wedding photos back in 2013. The chaos of balancing three kiddos (plus the dog for a few shots) was in full effect, but that’s real life. I’ve said this before, but I want to reassure people and say it again - there will never be a “perfect” time for photos. You might get a little rain, or it might be sunny and freezing, or one of your kids might have a meltdown, or you’re worried about the haircut that you got too close to the session, or you didn’t have time to pick out the outfit you had been envisioning, etc, etc, but years from now all that will matter is that you took the time to capture your life as it looks RIGHT NOW.
