I’m at a point in my career where it feels super important for me to connect with my clients. It isn’t all about the paycheck, the number of clients, the location, the chance of recognition through publication, etc. Sure some of those things are really nice, and even necessary, but it’s only possible for me to continue this work year after year because I genuinely like the people that I get to photograph. The people have always been the most important part for me and capturing their memories will always be my top priority. So working with people who trust me, who laugh with me, who can chat with me like old friends is what really makes this job wonderful. Hannah & Jacob are two people like that and I feel incredibly privileged to get to work with them and document them in the exact place where they got engaged.
