When I first met Zack and Laura I had no idea that our relationship would look the way it looks today. At the time of their wedding, they were living downstate. But they ended up moving to Traverse City and buying a house close to ours! By the time I photographed their maternity session for Graham I was only a couple of weeks pregnant and I wasn’t telling anyone, but I was so excited that our babies would be pretty close in age! Turns out I would end up asking Laura for a lot of advice. She is such a dedicated and wonderful mother and a really really good friend. She dropped off Costco groceries for us in the early days of Eddie’s life. We bonded over having babies (both boys) during the pandemic. Our families went on stroller walks, hikes, ate lots of Jet’s and Filling Station pizza, watched Michigan football, made Christmas wreaths. This particular session is bittersweet because the Medici family is moving back to SE Michigan and while I am selfishly so sad, I hope with all of my heart that their new home with family close by will be the very best decision for their family of 4 (and the animals ;) I LOVE you guys and will obviously miss having you here in Traverse, but I will continue to view this as the start of the next chapter. We can’t wait to meet the second beautiful Medici baby! xo
